just fascinating

Sitting on a balcony, suddenly this dragonfly drew my attention. I took my camera to have a closer look at this incredible creature. It’s kind of ugly, yet so beautiful. It’s amazing big eyes, wrapped around the top of the head, must give a tremendous vision on this world. Research learned me, the eyes of a dragonfly have up to 50.000 individual lenses. They can see almost everywhere at once. Isn’t that fascinating!
